At the first Health Congress hosted by Special Olympics Switzerland, people with intellectual disabilities, healthcare professionals and other interested participants came together to share experiences, learn from one another and discuss practical solutions.<\/p>\n\n
The congress marks an important milestone in the continued expansion of our Health area. The many perspectives and ideas showed just how much potential lies in collaboration between different stakeholders. In this context, building \u201cHealthy Athletes\u201d in Switzerland is of particular importance. As part of the congress, \u201cOpening Eyes\u201d, one of a total of seven health programmes, was presented and initial screening tests were carried out. \u201cHealthy Athletes\u201d is a free preventive health programme from Special Olympics International for participants in the World Games.<\/p>\n\n
