Furthermore, Raiffeisen will become an Official Partner of the Special Olympics World Winter Games, which will take place in 2029 in Switzerland, in the canton of Graub\u00fcnden. With this, Raiffeisen is sending a signal for greater participation of people with intellectual disabilities in sports.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Commitment to sports for people with intellectual disabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For around twelve years, Raiffeisen has been a partner of Special Olympics Switzerland, committing itself to sports for people with intellectual disabilities at both local and national levels, alongside its support for elite sports, grassroots sports, and youth development. As a Premium Partner, Raiffeisen Switzerland supports all activities and events of Special Olympics Switzerland, helping to strengthen the range of sports offered at all levels and providing a platform for recognition and visibility. The existing partnership has now been extended until the end of 2030. &#8220;Raiffeisen has been a committed and reliable partner for many years. Together with Special Olympics Switzerland, we are committed to ensuring that this connecting power of sports benefits as many people as possible,&#8221; emphasizes Gabriel Brenna, Chairman of the Executive Board of Raiffeisen Switzerland.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Raiffeisen supports Special Olympics World Winter Games Switzerland 2029<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As an Official Partner of the 2029 World Winter Games, Raiffeisen is supporting an event with athletes from all over the world, taking place in Switzerland for the first time. After the Winter Olympics, the Special Olympics World Winter Games are the second-largest winter sports event. The games will take place from March 10 to 17 in Graub\u00fcnden. Around 2,500 athletes and 900 coaches from over 100 countries are expected.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A bracelet as a symbol of inclusion in sports<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To set a visible sign for inclusion in sports \u2013 sports for everyone \u2013 Special Olympics Switzerland and Raiffeisen are jointly launching a bracelet. It is available for 20 francs at Special Olympics events, in the Raiffeisen online shop, or at selected Raiffeisen banks. The net proceeds from the sale will go to Special Olympics Switzerland for the expansion and organization of nationwide sports taster days. The goal is to offer people with intellectual disabilities initial access to as many sports as possible. The bracelet was designed by Swiss fashion designer Julian Zigerli, twisted and sewn in Switzerland, and packaged by a social institution.    <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>St. Gallen, May 29, 2026.
