Congratulations, Mr. Federal Councillor Martin Pfister!

Special Olympics is particularly pleased about the election of the new Federal Councillor! As a Cantonal Councillor of the Canton of Zug, Martin Pfister played a significant role in ensuring that the National Summer Games 2026 will take place in Zug. Currently, Martin Pfister chairs the organizing committee for this major event, where 1,800 athletes with intellectual disabilities will demonstrate their abilities in 15 sports. We are confident that this election will ensure that the topic of inclusion and the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities remain a priority within the Federal Council.
