Gommerlauf 2026

Cross-country skiers waiting at the start in a snowy landscape.

On March 1, 2026, the Nordic Center Ulrichen in Obergoms once again became the venue for the traditional Gommerlauf of Special Olympics. For the 15th time, 29 athletes competed on perfectly groomed trails over 500 meters, one, and three kilometers for medals – for the first time complemented by a Snowshoeing competition.

Despite the overcast sky, the impressive winter landscape and excellent conditions created a great atmosphere. After qualification runs and finals, the athletes were strengthened with a rich pasta buffet before the atmospheric award ceremonies formed the sporting highlight.
