Dr. Timothy Shriver, Chairman of Special Olympics International, visits Switzerland – three years before the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2029 (Switzerland 2029). With this, he officially launches the world’s largest sporting event for people with disabilities.
In Bern, Graubünden, and Zurich, he meets Special Olympics athletes as well as figures from politics, sports, business, and society.
A special moment: the visit to the Federal Palace: Timothy Shriver, Simon Ammann (President of Special Olympics Switzerland), and Bruno Barth (President of Switzerland 2029) met with Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider and Federal Councillor Martin Pfister for an exchange.
We are already looking forward to participating in the World Games in our own country with the largest delegation ever.
