Special Olympics and the Würth Group have shared a long-standing partnership for 16 years. Last week, this collaboration led a delegation from Special Olympics Switzerland to the company’s headquarters in Künzelsau, Germany. It was a day of special encounters, exciting insights, and great appreciation for a long-term partnership.
Led by our President Simon Ammann, the Swiss delegation visited the Würth Group headquarters in Künzelsau together with Board Member Werner Augsburger, Special Olympics athlete Marco Ebneter and his father Patrick, and Co-Managing Director Bruno Barth.
On site, the delegation was warmly received by Maria Würth (granddaughter of company founder Reinhold Würth and Head of the Art & Culture Division), Dr. Uli Roth (Member of the Board of the Würth Foundation), Fritz Hollweck (Head of International Sponsoring), Markus Hable, Andrea Frei (Head of Corporate Communication), and Catia Tschuor (Corporate Communication).
Sven Albrecht, President of Special Olympics Europe Eurasia, was also on site that day. His visit highlighted the international dimension of the partnership: the Würth Group supports the Special Olympics movement not only in Switzerland, but also in several European countries.
A look behind the scenes
The visit offered the delegation the opportunity to get to know Würth from a very personal perspective. The history of the family business and the development of the Würth Group since its founding by Reinhold Würth were particularly impressive.
The Würth Group has been a Premium Partner of Special Olympics for 16 years. This long-standing collaboration is of great importance to Special Olympics Switzerland and connects two organizations whose values are closely linked in many ways.
We are proud and grateful to have had the Würth Group by our side as a Premium Partner for 16 years.
Many thanks to Würth for the long-standing support and commitment to the Special Olympics movement!
