MATP

Movement & Inclusion for People with Severe Disabilities

MATP (Motor Activity Training Program) creates exercise programs for people with severe or multiple disabilities and high support needs. The program enables individual movement experiences, strengthens motor skills, and promotes social inclusion.

Why MATP?

People with severe cognitive and/or multiple disabilities currently have almost no access to regular exercise programs – even though movement is a central means of promoting health, perception, coordination, and quality of life for them in particular.

How we create access

The goal is to develop adapted exercise programs – linked to the project “Simply Healthy.” This utilizes the cooperation with Special Olympics Liechtenstein, which has extensive experience in implementing MATP in water and on land.
