Special Olympics at the Swiss Golf National Championship

For the fourth time, the 2025 Swiss Golf National Championship was all about inclusion and was held as the “Swiss Championship for all”.

The participation of Golf players with cognitive impairments in the Special Olympics tournament in Foursome and Single was particularly pleasing. Three teams and three individual players took part. Pablo Johnston secured the victory in the singles, while the duo Philippe Thurler – Carlos Lopez won the foursome competition.

The collaboration between Swiss Golf and Special Olympics creates encounters, strengthens self-confidence, and opens doors to social participation. The event was therefore not only a sporting success, but also a great success in human terms.
