Last weekend, the Schwimmclub Baar, in collaboration with the local organizing committee of the National Summer Games Zug 2026 (LOC), conducted a first test event in the sport of Swimming. Swimming is one of a total of 16 sports that will be held at the Games in May 2026.
Almost 50 athletes took the opportunity to experience a competitive atmosphere in Baar and prepare for the Summer Games. This event was of great importance for the LOC: Even if the team has a lot of event experience, events of Special Olympics always bring special requirements. The dress rehearsal proved to be extremely valuable in gaining important experience and optimizing processes.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the LOC, the Baar swimming club and the numerous helpers who made this successful event possible. With this successful test event, another step has been taken towards the National Summer Games Zug 2026.
