The Special Olympics World Games Santiago 2027 has presented its official logo. It represents the energy of Chile, the diversity of the global Special Olympics movement, and the shared commitment to inclusion. The festive unveiling took place in the Parque Estadio Nacional in Santiago. This is an important milestone on the road to the first World Games in South America and in the Southern Hemisphere.

It is particularly worth highlighting that athletes from Special Olympics Chile played a central role in the logo’s development process. Together with partners, they designed the visual appearance and made inclusion a tangible experience from the very beginning – not just as a value, but as a lived practice.

The logo combines the international symbol of Special Olympics with elements that reflect Chile’s identity, nature, and cultural diversity. The circular arrangement represents connection, cohesion, and a world in which all people are welcome and can participate without barriers.

The logo presentation underscores the ambition of the World Games 2027: a global sporting event that combines top athletic performance, encounter, and social change – supported by athletes who are at the heart of the movement.

In less than four years, the World Summer Games 2027 will take place in Santiago. These are the first World Games for people with intellectual disabilities in South America. Over 6,000 athletes from more than 170 countries will compete in 22 sports, supported by a team of more than 2,000 coaches and numerous dedicated volunteers. Santiago aims to achieve a sustainable social impact for Chile, its people, and all of Latin America with this event.
