Petanque is a ball game related to Boccia. The sport is also offered as Unified Sports®.
Competition Format
- Petanque is played in teams of three players, with two athletes and one Unified Partner playing together in the Unified Sports® format.
- Petanque is very popular in Switzerland, especially in the French-speaking region.
- In contrast to Boccia, Petanque is played with metal balls, which are significantly heavier than the plastic Boccia balls.
