Showmatch – Mobiliar Floorball Cup Finals 2024

On February 24th, two Floorball teams from Special Olympics competed in a showmatch at the Floorball Cup Finals in the Wankdorf sports hall in Bern. This took place during the first intermission of the Women’s Floorball Cup Final between Skorpion Emmental Zollbrück and Kloten-Dietlikon Jets.

Bärau Tigers PluSport Oberemmental with 7 players and Sportclub Hüetli from Obwalden with 8 players were on site. It was a short but extremely exciting match. The athletes showed full commitment and were delighted to be able to demonstrate their skills in a professional environment. Similar to the ladies’ cup final, the Hüetli team also achieved a narrow 2:1 victory against Bärau here. The atmosphere in the hall was great, and the athletes were thrilled to be able to play in front of so many spectators. After the showmatch, the two Special Olympics teams followed the ladies’ cup final.

Both teams are very much looking forward to the National Winter Games Haslital Brienz 2024, where they will most likely compete against each other again.

A heartfelt thank you goes to swiss unihockey for this unique opportunity.
