Tennis

Tennis at Special Olympics Switzerland is possible as a single player, doubles pair or in a Unified Sports® team. Tennis combines endurance, technique and precision and is suitable for athletes of all ages and abilities, as adapted balls and/or field sizes are used if necessary to make the game easier.

Competition Format

  • Competitions are offered in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, as well as Unified Mixed Doubles.
  • Play takes place in different performance groups, with different balls (e.g., foam balls for easier play) used depending on the level.
  • Tennis is a popular sport at Special Olympics and is widespread worldwide.

Special Olympics Switzerland is also invited to international competitions and World Games. We forward invitations to international events to athletes and sports groups who are active with us. Further information can be found under International Competitions and World Games.
