Dance Sport has been a project sport of Special Olympics Switzerland since 2024 and is continuously being developed as a competitive discipline – especially with a view to the World Games 2029 in Switzerland.

At the World Winter Games 2025 in Turin, Switzerland was represented for the first time with a dance duo (SRF Sport – Dance pair prepares for the World Games).
